Esoteric Resources

G. I. Gurdjieff Was IPR a Gurdjieffian? We can't be sure but we know that she was involved with J. G. Bennett in the 1950's (she actually met Moshe Feldenkrais at Bennett's Coomb Spring's Retreat). During this time he was one of the most prominent Gurdjieffians around. Gurdjieff is also the teacher that is most credited with bringing the enneagram (enneagon) to the west.
Pierre A. Bernard was Ida Rolf's yoga teacher during the 1920's and 30's. Rick Stringer at Vanderbilt University maintains a wonderful website on this bit of esoteric Americana and early bodywork history.

Biomechanics

Biomechanics Worldwide Fun with the guys in white lab coats!! But seriously, this is a good starting place for deeper research based information about human and animal movement.
Chris Kirtley's Gait Site This is the most informative site I've found regarding the specifics of clinical gait analysis. Get the quick and dirty overview of the dominant paradigm perspective in gait. Skip straight to the FAQ for a great overview of gait dynamics.
Passive Dynamic Walking This is the most interesting page I've found in a while. These folks have created bipedal robots that walk powered only by gravity. The implication for structural systems of bodywork are astonishing! Be sure to check out the video clips.

Miscellaneous Cool Stuff

Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami, You want research? We got research!
General Semantics Dr. Rolf had a lifelong interest in the work of Korzybski. This link will lead into web based info on his work. Korzybski's book Science and Sanity reads like a conceptual primer on Structural Integration.
A Fuller Explanation Dr. Amy C. Edmondson was Bucky Fuller's assistant his last few years on the planet. This wonderfully accessable book makes his elegant (and ultimately simple) ideas about universe available to everyone, not just those willing to wade through his arcane and complex texts.
